Another survey of freelances
THE CREATIVE Industries Federation is running a survey of freelances; which is interesting, because it has given the impression of being mostly a lobby for freelances' clients.
It says "self-employed creatives - freelancers, consultants, entrepreneurs, sole-traders - make a crucial contribution to the creative economy but are misunderstood and overlooked in policy-making. This survey is intended to gather information about these individuals to better inform policy-makers of their needs and the way they contribute to the economy."
It's a basic income and attitude survey and it's here - we encourage NUJ members to complete it to make sure it's representative. (It doesn't actually include "journalism" as an option... you'll have to select "publishing".)
