Just over 8p for each library loan of your book

The 2019 statements for Public Lending Right (PLR) - micropayments to authors every time their book is borrowed from a public library - are now viewable online, to authors who've had books published and who are signed up to the scheme. Payments to authors under the scheme to cover library lending of their books in 2019 has already been made. The PLR payment is 8.52 pence for each library loan. (They only pay out when you've accrued £1 worth of payments.)

If you're a published author and you've not signed up to PLR, do so now here. There's also a PLR Ireland scheme which includes UK authors whose books are lent by public libraries in Ireland.
