Brexit: members can pay NUJ subs in euros
BREXIT means that UK banks are closing the accounts of customers whose addresses are in the EU. (Many banks don't think it's worth getting a licence to continue consumer banking in that bloc.)
The NUJ's Membership Department is contacting its members in the EU about changing their payment details for membership contributions (also known as "subs", short for "subscriptions").
These can now go via the NUJ's euro bank account, based in the Republic of Ireland, allowing payments in euros from a Eurozone bank account. So members on the Continent of Europe should ensure Membership has their up to date email address.
