Tell us your training needs!
MY NAME is Romy Sustar and I am your new training officer. I was born in Central Europe; I have lived in many countries across the globe - and then I found the island with white cliffs, ten years ago. I am delighted to be part of NUJ and the opportunity to learn from Helen Hague, and I won’t let you down.
We are working on consistent training offers and a slightly new digitised strategy for 2022, which will go hand in hand with our social media, international networking and students events. There is no need to say that NUJ members have a lot of experience and knowledge! Please expect more information about our 2022 strategy in the next Freelance. Please do let us know your training needs in the short survey linked from www.londonfreelance.org/training or, if you have wider questions or concerns, please get in touch with me via email: email@example.com
In February the NUJ is focusing on trade union training. You can find more on our Branch training page, linked above.
Last month I attended the course Digital Tools for Investigation with Irving Huerta, organised by the Centre for Investigative Journalism. I recommend these courses to anyone who needs to research a lot or is interested in investigations.
I wish you a great month, and I am looking forward to presenting you with our new training strategy next month. Stay safe and remember: news never sleep.
