THE CENTRE for Investigate Journalism is continuing a bursary scheme in memory of the freelance journalist Lyra McKee, who was shot dead by dissident Republicans in Derry in April 2019.

It offers a five-month bursary to train and mentor people from underprivileged backgrounds, who aspire to become journalists or who are at the early stages of their journalism career. The deadline for applications is Sunday 10 April at 23.59 and the programme starts on Monday 23 May. Find out more at the link below.
