Black, Asian and minority photographers submit your work
THE 12 STAR Gallery in Westminster, London, is looking for young and creative voices in the field of documentary, photojournalism, and press photography for its Summer Exhibition. You should be between the ages of 18 and 32 and come from the Black, Asian and Ethnic Minorities living and working in the EU and UK. The gallery seeks work that looks towards Europe or has a European context.
This call for submissions is in the context of the European Year of Youth 2022 celebrated in the EU. The Summer Show at the 12 Star Gallery, Westminster from 5 July to 16 September 2022.
It invites photographers to reflect on what it is to be young and Black/Asian or from an Ethnic minority in Europe and the UK today. It hopes to capture from the diversity of work proposed not only new talent in the making but also the socio-economic and political conditions in Europe today, as viewed by the photographers.
Work will be selected for the exhibition by a group of professional photographers and curators.
Submissions may be of series as well as individual photos. Selected photographers will receive £250 toward printing and hanging their work. Workshops will be available over the summer for those who did not make it to the final selection.
